1st Variant by Churer Joch
(demanding tour, only for experienced cyclists)
From the Post bus stop Lenzerheide (1490 m) take the Seestrasse on the west bank of the Heidsee lake afterwards a light uphill ride to the Valbellner Höhe (1547 m). Leave the main road on the right (direction Scharmoin) and enjoy the leisurely ride through the forest to Parpan (1493 m). There follow the signpost to «Churer Joch», a 5.5 km long and 527 m high uphill climb. Enjoy the marvellous views of the Calanda mountain and the Churer Rheintal valley and forget the uphill struggle. The in between 'pitstop' in the little restaurant on the Joch and the feeling of having won the 'mountain prize' give you the necessary push to achieve your target for the day. Skihaus Furggli is a normal tarred road in the direction Tschiertschen. You pass by the neat little Walser village of Tschiertschen on the left and choose the street on the right at the junction, at point 1498 m, next to Weiler Fups, direction Löser, Ochsenalp and Arosa. The next steep climb to the terrace Ochsenalp can be described as the challenge for the day. After that you've made it. Forget your tiredness as you look down into the deep valley of Schanfigg, into the distance at the imposing Rätikon mountains, under your wheels a lightly climbing uphill alpine path as the mountain restaurant on Ochsenalp suddenly appears. A snack, a "wonder drink" and the last leisurely downhill stretch to Arosa.

2nd Variant by Molinis to Arosa
(medium tour)
Next to the church in Tschiertschen (1343 m) turn right on the tarred road downhill direction Molinis. Before the bridge in Molinis (1041 m) turn right onto the uphill, gravel track direction Langwies, Litzirüti, Prätschwaldweg. At the house, above Langwies, go on uphill to Litzirüti (1452 m). When you have had enough uphill riding you can finish the tour here and go by train to Arosa. Of course, you can also take the beautiful track along the river Plessur to Arosa (1739 m).

2a Variant by Löser-Ochsenalp-Langwieser viewing point to Arosa
Go through Tschiertschen (1343 m) uphill on the tarred road direction Löser. Cross the wooden bridge over Löser (1683 m) and climb steeply left on the gravel road to the restaurant at Ochsenalp (1936 m). The leisurely ride down to Arosa is a pleasure and anyone who wants to can make a detour to the Langwiese viewing point (1774 m). At the junction at the Seebachtobel leave the gravel road and turn right on to the forest path to Arosa. Alternatively stay on the gravel road down to the main road and then follow the main road up to Arosa (1739 m).

2b. Variant by Löser Ochsenalp Rot Tritt Prätschli to Arosa
Go through Tschiertschen (1343m) uphill on the tarred road direction Löser. Cross the wooden bridge over Löser (1683 m) and climb steeply left on the gravel road to the restaurant at Ochsenalp (1936 m). Pass by the restaurant and take the small track uphill direction Rot Tritt (lovely view of the Schanfigg valley!). After the wooden gate above Wolfbodens two steep paths lead up to Rot Tritt (2016m). From now on it's all downhill to Prätschli (1909m). After the short piece of tarred road, at the first bend take the track on the right through the forest directly into Arosa.

3rd Variant - By Parpan Mittelberg Churwalden Tschiertschen
(easy - medium tour)
From Lenzerheide (1490m) along the side of the Heidsee lake to Valbella. On the top of Valbella Höhe (1547 m) turn right onto the "Hochzeitsreise" direction Parpan (1493 m). From Parpan ride at the same level on a tarred road to the Mittelberg. There you have a unforgettable view of the Churwaldner valley and the Calanda mountain. Then follows a steep but good natural path past the hamlet of Salez to Churwalden. After 1 km on the main road turn right directly after the bridge over the Rabiusa and enjoy on the Polenweg (natural road) a long, in the first part somewhat steep, descent which above Passugg joins the quiet main road Chur Tschiertschen. Then begins the 5 km long climb into the neat little Walser village of Tschiertschen.

4. Variant - By Capfeders Praden to Tschiertschen
(medium tour)
From Lenzerheide (1490m) along the side of the Heidsee lake to Valbella. On the top of Valbella Höhe (1547 m) turn right onto the "Hochzeitsreise" direction Parpan (1493 m). In Parpan follow the signpost direction Churer Joch (2020 m) to Foppa (1752 m). Descend on the natural road to Büel (1517 m) turn right in the direction Capfeders, Fanülla, Jumishus, Oberhof, then a very steep descent through the Runcalierer forest, until the signpost Praden Pt. 1286. From there take the footpath (sometimes necessary to carry the bike) all on one level to Usser-Praden (1135 m). Usser-Praden to Tschiertschen (1343 m) on the main road (3 km).
Tour length: approx. 13 km;

| From Arosa to Davos |

Arosa Strassberg - Durannapass Cavadürli Klosters Davos
(demanding tour, only for experienced mountain bikers)
Start point Postplatz Arosa (1739 m). On the road direction Untersee and at the three-way junction, turn right, direction reservoir. Cross the railtrack and go down to the next junction, turn left onto the gravel road. Go along the left side of the reservoir to the end and follow the path alongside the river Plessur about 2km. At the gravel path junction take the right hand path direction Litzirüti. After about 80 m on the small path alongside the railway line continue down to Litzirüti Station (1452 m). Afterwards take the main road to Langwies (1377 m). Turn right by the fountain in the picturesque Schanfigger village. Here the real bike tour starts with the ascent to Strassberg (1919 m). Durannapass, Sattel. After about 1.2 km, cross the wooden bridge and continue up. Pass through the group of houses at Sattel and after about 200 m. turn left on the path through the meadows direction Durannapass (2117 m). Those who want to can round off the marvellous panorama with a diversion to the Grünsee lake. From Durannapass downwards in the direction Fideriser-Duranna (2053 m) and at the three way junction next to the Alp descend right on the gravel path. After 800 m. pass the group of houses and make a sharp turn to the right onto another path, direction Conteser Schwendi (1682 m). The track has a few short steep parts where you cannot always ride. In Schwendi pass by the restaurant on the left, through the village and continue on to Schifer-Talstation. From there on the wide track, direction Serneus, and to the first junction (in the first hairpin bend) turn right, direction Serneus Schwendi. This wide track goes slightly upwards and is easy to ride on. After the Serneuser Schwendi descend direction Klosters (Station Cavadürli). Here you have to decide if you want to go to Davos by bike or by train (height of Klosters Platz 1179 m).

From Davos (1560 m) on the natural path along the river to the beginning of Frauenkirch. Use the main road to the end of Frauenkirch and turn right by the sign "Hotel Lengmatta". On the main road by the Walser hamlet of Lengmatte to the first junction, then left down along the road, direction Mühle/Glaris. Follow the main road to Restaurant Schmelzboden-Bergbaumuseum. Turn left before the tunnel and ride on the wide natural path until the end of the tunnel (1315 m). From here it goes up along the main road to Wiesen (1437 m). After this continue through the villages of Schmitten und Alvaneu to the junction "Lenzerheide/Chur". Turn right and follow the old road. After driving through the village of Brienz (1146 m) a light ascent to
Lenz (1314 m). Before Lenz turn right onto the main road. Follow the main road to Lenzerheide-Valbella.
